Innobo Labs was founded in Toronto, Canada in 2018 and expanded to Türkiye and London soon after. In 2026, they will make The Czech Republic their new EU headquarters for further expansion across Europe.

Innobo Labs, is redefining what is possible. As the world’s first teleportation platform, they are building the technological foundation for instantaneous movement — of goods, people, intelligence, and industries.

They achieve this by allowing companies of all industries to train their team members from anywhere in the world using proprietary virtual reality and digital twin technology.

Challenge
  1. Design a forward-thinking website to effectively convey their message and mission.

  2. Design and implement a UX strategy that satisfies and exceeds the expectations of their customers across different cultures, countries and continents.

  3. Design world-class, industry-first products for Innobo's teleportation services.

    1. Gateway — Ultra-mobile simulator that fits in a carry-on sized case.

    2. Teleport Container — All inclusive and self-contained simulator that can be delivered on-site for continuous training (pictured above).

    3. Teleport Truck — Mobile Teleport Container that allows for rapid deployment and quick training sessions.

When I first introduced to the team at Innobo, they were already in the pretty good spot. They've spent several years gathering market research, refining their approach, and planning their next move. I got involved once they were ready to execute. They brought me their goal and I brought the experience and skill to help them realize it.

The website

I started with designing and developing Innobo an all new website. Innobo already had an online presence, but their previous website was lacking depth, a professional design and proper story telling.

Built with Framer, I transformed their requirements into a marketable, memorable and functional experience to boost conversion and add credibility to their brand.

The current version of the site is simple, with just a few pages but it creates a strong foundation on which Innobo will be able to build and strengthen their brand moving forward. More pages will be added in the coming months with in-depth content and immersive experiences for each product.

Product design

Wearables

Innobo's wearables (pictured above) are what sets them apart from the rest. Their proprietary helmet, when used with their haptic gloves, and smart jacket allows the wearer to not only see what they are working on, but feel it. It allows users to "touch" tools by offering haptic feedback and even give them the perception of weight as they hold an object in their hands or manipulate a jet engine.

Their wearables should be a joy to wear, by reducing fatigue during long training sessions. It's important that wearers feel comfortable, cool and mobile.

Product design

Simulators

This is wear the magic happens. Innobo doesn't just make revolutionary simulation software and wearables, they want to provide the simulator itself, fully setup, self-contained and ready to go at a moments notice wherever you are.

Innobo Gateway
Innobo Gateway is a simulator to-go. They needed a simple, ultra-portable, lightweight, and compact solution that would allow their wearables to be transported anywhere safely. I designed Gateway to fit Innobo's helmet, haptic gloves, smart jacket, cables, and server in a case the size of a standard suitcase.

Teleport Container
The Teleport Container is a self-contained, all-inclusive, mobile simulator that is delivered wherever the customer wants it. Customers can order a single unit or multiple containers depending on their needs. They stay on-site for as long as they are needed and are picked up when training is complete.

The interior features tall, 9' ceilings, stunning finishes & materials, a dedicated, ready-to-go simulator space, seating area for others waiting their turn in the sim, 2 instruction areas (where trainers can see what the trainee sees and give feedback or instructions), and a small kitchen area with cold drinks, coffee maker and snacks.

Teleport Truck
When a long-term, on-site container isn't needed, customers may request a Teleport Truck for shorter, single-day training events. Like the Teleport Container, it is fully self-contained and includes everything needed to get started. Customers can begin training within minutes of the Truck arriving to their location.

Making it real

Making it real

With phase 1 now complete (website, initial product design), work on phase 2 has already begun. I am not just designing the look of Innobo's products, but the whole thing from start to finish. A pretty picture isn't worth much to the client if it can't be built. My design process is never just for show. Everything I design is rooted in reality so what you see can become a reality using readily available manufacturing and fabrication methods. When it comes to Innobo's Teleport product line, I am designing a virtual blueprint, ready to build. I will include structural analyses, parts lists, component pricing, build specs, wiring diagrams, distributor contacts for off the shelf parts, and how-tos for custom-built components.

If you need something similar for your venture, let me know.
