Originally from Los Angeles, I’ve made South Carolina my home. I live here with my wife, our three daughters, and our red Doberman, Penny.
For the past 15 years, I’ve helped clients from all over the world bring their ideas to life. I’ve been fortunate to work on projects for big names like Google, Priceline, and Playbill, small businesses, startups, entrepreneurs, solopreneurs, and everything in between.
At the heart of it all, I specialize in UX design. It’s the foundation for every project I take on. The user experience matters and an experience that ultimately makes the user/customer happy builds loyalty.
Is there anything you don't do?
Yes. I don't accept requests for 3D design, animation, video, print design (vehicle wraps, book covers & illustrations, spreads), and complex form design.
How fast will I get my designs?
I'll complete most requests in 2 business days. Some requests can take longer but I'll deliver progress updates every 24-48 hours until the request is complete.
How do I submit requests?
After onboarding, you'll get a link to your design dashboard. You'll use it to manage all requests and receive your completed designs.
Do you offer refunds?
Due to the quality of the work, I don't offer refunds. However, if you're not satisfied (unlikely), cancel your subscription and you won't be billed again after the current cycle.
What if I only have one request?
That's fine! Pause your subscription after your request is complete and save any unused time for when you need it.
Do referral discounts work for the 6-month plan?
Yes! But there's a 2 referral max for a total discount of 30%.
How do AI requests work?
AI requests are submitted the same way as any other request. Just explain the solution you need and add it to your queue. Keep in mind that some AI solutions may require extra services (like hosting). I’ll tell you ahead of time if your project will need any ongoing expenses beyond your Unlimited Design subscription. Extra costs are not included in your subscription and you'll be responsible for paying them directly to the service provider. That means a JohnnyPlaid subscription isn't required to keep your AI solution(s) running.
How does Framer development work?
Framer development is included with all subscriptions and is simply treated as a design request. As long as your website can be built in Framer, I’ll handle the full development to make sure it stays true to the vision with maximum fidelity and polish in the final product. Once the site is complete, I’ll transfer ownership to you. That means a JohnnyPlaid subscription isn’t required to keep your website running and updated. You will be responsible for paying the monthly costs associated with the Framer plan you choose. If you don't need a CMS, start with the basic plan ($10/mo). If you need a CMS and want some additional features, choose Pro ($30/mo).
